Im Flughafen kommt man im Erdgeschoss an. Die Shuttlebusse zu den Hotels fahren von der zweiten Etage. Der Shuttelservive des Hotels wird von\u00a05 Uhr\u00a0bis Mitternacht halbst\u00fcndlich angeboten. Man muss aber vom Flughafen anrufen und f\u00fcr die R\u00fcckfahrt Bescheid sagen. Wenn keine Fahrg\u00e4ste erwartet werden, f\u00e4hrt der Shuttle nicht.<\/p>\n<p>Der Transfer vom Flughafen in Belize zum F\u00e4hrhafen hat tadellos geklappt.<\/p>\n<p>Das Caye Caulker Plaza Hotel hat uns gut gefallen. Einige hatte kritisiert, die Generatoren der Insel seien zu nah. Bei laufender Klimaanlage und geschlossenen Fenstern haben wir aber davon nichts geh\u00f6rt. Im Hotelzimmer haben wir uns auch nicht oft aufgehalten, so dass wir den Seeblick auch nicht vermisst haben. Es hat uns wirklich gut gefallen, die sehr entschleunigte Lebensweise der Insulaner anzusehen.<\/p>\n<p>Wir haben mit Carlos Tours den obligatorischen Schnorchelausflug zur Shark Ray Alley und zum Hol Chan Marine Reserve gemacht. Es war super. Die Schnorchelausfl\u00fcge waren mit zwei Gruppen mit jeweils sieben Personen und einem F\u00fchrer. Der hatte, auch f\u00fcr jemanden, der schonmal ein Korallenriff gesehen hat, viel zu zeigen und zu erkl\u00e4ren. Die Karettschildkr\u00f6te in den Seegrasfl\u00e4chen, etwas abseits des Riffs h\u00e4tten wir allein nicht gefunden. Die F\u00fctterung der Rochen und zum Teil sehr gro\u00dfen Ammenhaie war ein Spektakel. Es war eine sch\u00f6ne Gelegenheit diesen ruhigen Genossen sehr nah zu kommen.<\/p>\n<p>Seek\u00fche sind wohl gelegentlich anzutreffen, uns war es nicht verg\u00f6nnt. Allerdings haben wir auf dem R\u00fcckweg Delfine gesehen, das Boot hat extra eine Pause gemacht. Die Delfine sind eine ganze Weile um das Boot herumgetollt. Carlos Junior hat uns erkl\u00e4rt dass M\u00e4nnchen um paarungswillige Weibchen warben.<\/p>\n<p>Auch wenn das Barriereriff noch recht k\u00fcstennah ist, waren Sicht, Fischreichtum und Pracht der Korallen, insbesondere im Hol Chan Marine Reserve, hervorragend. Auch das Mittagessen war prima.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-av_gallery-4285f27ab793f589a1a72863a5e0ee17\">\n#top itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Der Transfer zum Lighthouse Reef hat wieder reibungslos funktioniert. Ein Aufenthalt in der Bar am Pier des Ramada Hotels in Belize City konnten wir gut zu einem Imbiss nutzen und die ersten Eindr\u00fccke nach Hause zu posten. Dort wurden wir von der Managerin vor Ort der Huracan Diving Lodge, Cynthia begr\u00fc\u00dft. Den Besitzer, Monsieur Bernarde haben wir kurz am Pier getroffen. Die zweist\u00fcndige Fahrt mit dem Speedboot war etwas holprig und es gab eine kr\u00e4ftigen Regenguss. Im Gegensatz zu einigen Mitreisenden hatten wir Regenjacken dabei. Das Gep\u00e4ck war regensicher verstaut.<\/p>\n<p>Long Caye ist die Insel, auf der sich die Huracan Lodge befindet. Wir waren dort, in der Woche die einzigen G\u00e4ste. Das ganze Team hat sich immer sehr f\u00fcrsorglich um uns gek\u00fcmmert. Das Essen war sehr abwechslungsreich und exzellent. Die Lodge ist sehr gem\u00fctlich eingerichtet, mit guten Aufenthaltsm\u00f6glichkeiten. Es gibt eine umfangreiche Bibliothek. Zur Bestimmung des Unterwasser gesehenen, sind die drei B\u00e4nde von Paul Humann und Ned DeLoach da. Ebenso eine Ausgabe des Lonely Planet Guides Diving and Snorkeling in Belize.<\/p>\n<p>Dass es keine Klimaanlage gibt, war uns bewusst. In unserer Woche gab es die wohl ersten Regenschauer seit langem. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit war entsprechend hoch. So waren wir froh, dass es Ventilatoren gab.<\/p>\n<p>Wir hatten unsere eigene Tauchausr\u00fcstung mit. Es gibt in der Lodge nur zwei Adapter vom DIN-Anschluss des Lungenautomaten auf den hier \u00fcblichen internationalen.<\/p>\n<p>Das Tauchen ist fantastisch. Wir hatten im Wechsel Santiago und Luis als Guides. Beide sind sehr gut. Im Laufe der Woche und bei insgesamt 15 Tauchg\u00e4ngen haben wir die meisten Tauchpl\u00e4tze zu sehen bekommen. Es sind im o.g. Buch und auf einer ausliegenden Karte mehr verzeichnet, z. T. liegen sie aber eng beieinander, so dass die Abgrenzung mitunter schwierig ist. Alle Tauchstellen zeichnen sich durch seicht abfallende Sandfl\u00e4chen mit W\u00e4llen und Bl\u00f6cken von Korallen unter den Anlegebojen und Steilw\u00e4nden zum offenen Meer aus. Letztere beginnen in 10-15m Tiefe und reichen immer ins Bodenlose. Der Seekarte nach ist das umgebende Meer 700 bis weit \u00fcber 1000m tief. Die W\u00e4nde sind teilweise tief eingeschnitten und an einigen Pl\u00e4tzen gibt es verzweigte Tunnel und Spalten. Diese sind besonders sch\u00f6n, wenn sie vollst\u00e4ndig mit einem Anchovisschwarm gef\u00fcllt sind, der sich magisch teilt und einen umflie\u00dft, wenn man hindurchschwimmt. Die Korallen machen alle einen sehr guten Eindruck. In der Woche vor unserem Urlaub gab die UNESCO bekannt, dass, aufgrund der umfangreichen Schutzma\u00dfnahmen, die Belize getroffen hat, dass Barriereriff von der Liste der bedrohten Naturdenkm\u00e4ler genommen werden konnte. Ebenso gut geht es den, f\u00fcr die Karibik typischen gro\u00dfen Schw\u00e4mmen und Gorgonien. Oft haben wir gro\u00dfe Meeresbewohner beobachten k\u00f6nnen, wie Snapper, Hogfish, Zackenbarsche, Rochen, Ammenhaie, Riffhaie und Adlerrochen. Eine ganze Reihe von Tauchpl\u00e4tzen liegen in direkter N\u00e4he zur Lodge an der Ostseite der Insel, andere liegen s\u00fcdlich der n\u00e4chsten kleinen Insel, Halfmoon Caye. Letztere ist, zusammen mit dem umgebenden Meer ein Naturschutzgebiet. Meist kehrten wir zwischen den Tauchg\u00e4ngen zur Lodge zur\u00fcck. Einmal haben wir die Oberfl\u00e4chenpause genutzt, um uns auf Halfmoon Caye die Kolonie der Rotfu\u00dft\u00f6lpel und der Fregattv\u00f6gel anzusehen. itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Wie auch sonst in der Karibik hat sich hier, der, an sich im Indopazifik heimische, Rotfeuerfisch ausgebreitet. Ob er mit dem Ballastwasser gro\u00dfer Schiffe hierher gekommen ist, oder ob er aus Aquarien ausgeb\u00fcchst ist, ist unklar. Jedenfalls f\u00fchlen sie sich hier mangels nat\u00fcrlicher Feinde sehr wohl. Ihr Appetit riesig. Man sch\u00e4tzt, dass Sie an einem Riff den Bestand der \u00fcbrigen Fische um 90% reduzieren. Sie werden daher von den Guides harpuniert, wann immer sie einen finden. Das wiederum macht sofort andere Riffbewohner auf uns aufmerksam: Mur\u00e4nen, Zackenbarsche und Haie. Damit diese uns nicht zu nahe kommen und damit, hoffentlich andere Fische auf den Geschmack kommen, wird der harpunierte Rotfeuerfisch zur\u00fcck gelassen. Zweimal konnten wir sehen, wie innerhalb nur einer Minute eine Mur\u00e4ne von einer ganz anderen Stelle des Riffs ankam. Bei den Tauchg\u00e4ngen im Nationalpark wurden wir stets von zwei bis drei, bis 60cm gro\u00dfen, Zackenbarschen (Nassau Grouper) begleitet. Einer lie\u00df sich gerne streicheln, ganz wie ein braves H\u00fcndchen. Santiago sagte vor dem Tauchgang: \u201eyou can pat the groupers but not the sharks.\u201d Auf die Idee w\u00e4ren wir auch nicht gekommen. Die Haie hier sind meist Riffhaie, zwei bis drei Meter gro\u00df. Sie kamen auch des \u00d6fteren gucken, was wir so machen, sind aber h\u00f6chstens auf zwei Meter herangekommen. Es kann wohl auch noch n\u00e4her sein, uns hat es so gereicht.<\/p>\n<p>Einmal waren wir extra zum Harpunieren der Rotfeuerfische an einer Stelle des Riffs, wo sonst nicht so oft getaucht wird und sie sehr h\u00e4ufig sind. Luis, hat ein sehr gutes Auge f\u00fcr sie. Er hat sie aufgesp\u00fcrt und wir haben sie harpuniert. Ausgekommen ist keiner. Nach einer Stunde hatten wir 23, in einem Eimer sicher verwahrt. Luis hat sie dann, sehr vorsichtig, filetiert. Er habe sich mal gestochen und k\u00f6nne sich noch an das erste Mal erinnern, als sei es gestern gewesen. Die Schmerzen seien h\u00f6llisch gewesen, er habe sich in seinem Zimmer verkrochen und erst am n\u00e4chsten Tag sei es besser geworden. Wir haben, jedenfalls unbeschadet, die Filets roh, als mexikanische Ceviche mit Limettensaft, Zwiebeln und Tomaten, sowie gebraten zum Abendessen bekommen, sehr lecker!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Das weltber\u00fchmte Blue Hole haben wir am letzten Tag besucht (wenn im Anschluss der R\u00fcckflug ansteht, w\u00e4re es einen Tag fr\u00fcher). Als G\u00e4ste der Huracan Lodge hatten wir, den Vorteil der k\u00fcrzesten Anfahrt. Wir waren auch tats\u00e4chlich allein, als wir ankamen. Der Ort ist wirklich ein besonderer. Die Sprungschicht war bei etwa 30m. Der Temperaturunterschied war nur gering, aber unterhalb war die Sicht nochmal besser. Dann tauchen auch schon die m\u00e4chtigen Stalaktiten auf. Diese haben wir im Slalom umschwommen. Am Ende der H\u00f6hle geht es wieder langsam nach oben. Es hat sich nur ein Hai vor der H\u00f6hle sehen lassen. Sonst k\u00f6nnen es mehr sein und au\u00dfer Riffhaien sind wohl manchmal auch Bullen- und Hammerhaie da.<\/p>\n<p>Am n\u00e4chsten Morgen hei\u00dft es Abschied nehmen, die R\u00fcckfahrt ist ruhiger und Luis kann diesmal den Schauer umfahren.<\/p>\n<p>In Belize werden wir schon von Marcel von S + L Tours erwartet. Er nimmt uns direkt mit zu unserem ersten Ausflug der Rundreise 1. Wir besuchen drei Tempelanlagen der Mayas: Altun Ha, Lamanai und Xunantunich. Marcel verk\u00fcrzt uns die notwendigen Fahrten mit detaillierten und lebhaften Berichten zu den kommenden Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten. Jede der Tempelanlagen hat etwas besonderes, alle sind in andere Landschaften eingebettet. Die Flussfahrt nach Lamanai, durch Jungel und an einer Mennonitenfarm vorbei hat uns sehr gefallen. Auf der R\u00fcckfahrt von Xunantunich haben wir uns noch Herman\u2018s Cave und das zweite Blue Hole angesehen. Zur Erforschung der H\u00f6hle hatte Marcel eigene Stirnlampen mitgebracht, unsere Tauchlampen waren aber auch n\u00fctzlich. Das Blue Hole hier ist ein nat\u00fcrlicher Pool im Urwald. Als wir da waren, war das Wasser mehr gr\u00fcn als blau. Die Vegetation ist \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigend. Immer wieder fallen ungew\u00f6hnliche Pflanzen, Insekten und V\u00f6gel auf. Auch zu diesen wei\u00df Marcel einiges zu erz\u00e4hlen. Er hat es auch m\u00f6glich gemacht, dass wir zus\u00e4tzlich zur geplanten Tour als kr\u00f6nenden Abschluss noch den Zoo besuchen konnten. So hatten wir Gelegenheit Panther, Puma, Ozelot, Tucan und Co. zu sehen.<\/p>\n<p>Die ganze Reise war phantastisch. Alles lief reibungslos und Belize hat auf kleinem Raum so viel zu bieten, dass wir unbedingt nochmal hin m\u00fcssen.<br \/>\nWir sind uns sicher, dass Belize noch viele Ihrer Kunden begeistern
